CHARLOTTE BERG PREPARES FOR ALBUM RELEASE WITH SHOWS IN THE UK & SWEDEN 19

Sometimes taking a big leap from one planned career to another can pay dividends if you’re brave enough to take the risk. Fortunately Nashville based singer-songwriter Charlotte Berg, who moved from medicine to music, was and since then she’s never looked back.

Currently on her Let It Burn tour in support of her upcoming debut album It’s The Damsel Who Decides which will be released on August 12, she studied classical piano for a decade as a child and having discovered the chart-topping talents of Missy Higgins while at college, she began writing her own songs.

Having then moved to Melbourne, she teamed with Miles Fahey to create the duo Char & Miles, earning themselves a considerable fan base in the three years they worked together. But Charlotte wasn’t satisfied, and from there, she relocated to Nashville and has since seen her career go from strength to strength thanks to numerous performances on the local music circuit and two Northeast tours.

Now she’s bringing her talents to Europe and tonight plays at Fiddler’s Elbow in London before heading over to Sweden for two shows, one at Iris Festivalen on August 6, and the other at the Sea Salt Kitchen on August 7.

Pre-sale copies of her album will be available at the shows so if you like what you hear, be sure to pick one up.

You can listen to Charlotte’s latest single “Let It Burn” below and for more information, visit her website, like her page on Facebook or follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

RITA ORA ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE ‘ANYWHERE’ 10

Rita Ora made her spectacular return to music with the release of Your Song in May. Now she’s back with the follow up Anywhere, released on 20th October on Atlantic Records.

Rita co-wrote the song with Andrew Watt (the hitmaker behind Let Me Love You, It Ain’t Me and Havana)

Anywhere entwines Rita’s unmistakably modern soul with classic ’90s elements, and an exhilarating bassline. Rita wrote Anywhere when she was based in LA earlier this year. “I was in a routine, working every day, and found myself day dreaming about breaking out of the city and going on a road trip with my friends and never looking back.” This is Pop at its sweetest, most persuasive form of escapism.

Your Song has been one of the biggest singles of 2017. The comeback song re-established Rita as one of pop’s leaders, becoming her biggest hit across Europe. The track has amassed over 300 million global streams and is continuing to grow.

Your Song is now fast becoming a hit in America following a succession of high profile TV performances. Earlier this month Rita dazzled viewers of the Ellen Show with a stunning live performance of the track and has also performed the single on major shows including Jimmy Fallon, TRL, GMA and Teen Choice.

Rita is currently having her second top 10 hit of the year thanks to her recent collaboration with Avicii. Their melancholy dance hit, Lonely Together rocketed into the top 10 last month and is now giving Rita another streaming hit around the world.

All three singles will be on Rita Ora’s upcoming album due for release next year. The album includes songs Rita has worked on with Stargate, Julia Michaels and DFA.

Next month Rita Ora will be taking over Europe’s premiere music awards show. Rita will host and perform at the 2017 MTV EMAs live from London’s SSE Arena, Wembley on Sunday, November 12th.

Rita made her debut at the EMAs in Frankfurt in 2012 when she performed RIP and over the years Rita has collected eight nominations over the years.

The awards show will be broadcast live across the globe.

R&B singer and two-time AMA nominee Ciara was on hand to announce the categories.

“It’s a huge honor and it makes you feel like you’ve really accomplished something,” Ciara said before revealing the nominees.

Pop singer Halsey, who performed on “GMA” today, was nominated for her hit song “Closer” with The Chainsmokers.

“I was hoping, I had my fingers crossed,” the first-time nominee said. “It’s unbelievable. I think the first television performance I ever did was the AMAs … having that come full circle is really special.”
