WHAT WERE THE MOST VIEWED VIDEOS ON VEVO IN 2016? 62

The music video hosting service have revealed the Top 10 viewed visuals both worldwide and in the UK, with the likes of The Chainsmokers, Adele and Calvin Harris proving massively popular on both sides of the Atlantic.

It will come as no surprise that Justin Bieber tops the list; his UK Number 1 single Sorry has garnered more views than any other music in the past year, accumulating nearly two billion views with 1,824,823,909. Sorry was also the first song in the UK to pass 100 million streams.

Justin’s album Purpose had either official videos or PURPOSE: The Movement dance clips released, meaning that the album has amassed 4.6 billion views in total.

While Adele’s Hello finishes in the worldwide runner-up slot, it is Fifth Harmony’s Work from Home that achieved the second highest number of Vevo views in the UK. Love Yourself by JB finishes in third, Adele’s Hello in fourth and the lyric video of The Chainsmokers’ Closer in fifth.

Rounding out the UK’s Top 10 include acts that hit Number 1 this year such as Shawn Mendes, Zayn and Mike Posner.
