While most people know Jared Leto for his band Thirty Seconds to Mars and his acting career, most notably his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club, he’s also a savvy businessman and entrepreneur.
His company Adventures In Wonderland which was created in 2010 offers music fans up close and personal, VIP experiences with their favourite bands and artists including Demi Lovato, Blink-182 and, of course, Thirty Seconds To Mars. As the company continues to grow, Leto has now appointed former Amazon company Audible senior vice-president Jason Ojalvo as its CEO. Key to his role will be looking at ways in which AIW can expand its reach and connection to fans even further.
Speaking after his appointment, Ojalvo said:
“My years at Amazon taught me to be completely customer-centric and I’m excited to help Adventures in Wonderland continue to offer audiences the magical experiences they are used to and doing it in an even more creative and scalable way than ever before.”
Leto also released a statement which read:
“The hiring of Jason as CEO takes us into a new and exciting era,” Leto added. “We are an artist-founded company that has always done anything and everything possible to serve artists and audiences better. With Jason at the helm, we will deliver even better services for artists and continue creating unforgettable experiences for all.”
Ojalvo’s appointment comes at the same time as that of Joshua Russak who is to be head of business development.
