They were the twins the world were talking about from the moment their parents announced they were expecting them and now it appears that the names of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s newborn babies have finally been revealed as Rumi and Sir Carter. The unusual monikers (did we really expect anything less?) mean they’re a perfect new pairing to go with the couple’s daughter Blue Ivy.
US media outlets including US Weekly and People have also been reporting that the new parents have applied to trademark Rumi and Sir Carter so that they can use the names for future fragrance, cosmetic, baby product, toy and novelty item releases.
The couple are thought to have welcomed their son and daughter into the world on June 18th. Beyonce’s dad took to Twitter to share the happy news but, as yet, the superstar singers themselves have yet to make an official announcement about the arrival of their babies.
News of the births and the babies’ rumoured names comes just as JAY-Z has hit the headlines in his own right thanks to his hugely-anticipated comeback album 4:44, which sees the rapper support his mum as she comes out on one track while he also addresses the ‘Becky with the Good Hair’ issue on another.
