“Dancing with the Stars” has announced its season 18 cast and it is as eclectic as ever. The announcement was made live via “Good Morning America” on Tuesday morning.
This year’s cast, along with their assigned professional partner, includes:
Sean Avery (former NHL player) and Karina Smirnoff
Candace Cameron Bure (actress) and Mark Ballas
Drew Carey (actor and game show host) and Cherly Burke
Meryl Davis (Olympic gold-medalist) and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
NeNe Leakes (reality television star and actress) and Tony Dovolani
James Maslow (Big Time Rush member and actor) and Peta Murgatroyd
Danica McKeller (actress) and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Diana Nyad (long-distance swimmer) and Henry Byalikov
Amy Purdy (Paralympic snowboarder) and Derek Hough
Cody Simpson (singer) and Witney Carson
Charlie White (Olympic gold-medalist) and Sharna Burgess
Billy Dee Williams (actor) and Emma Slater
Tom Bergeron and Cheryl Burke-Charvet’s replacement, Erin Andrews, will host the latest season. Along with a change in co-host, season 18 will also feature “The Switch-Up” in which viewers will be given the chance to vote and change up the celebrity/professional pairings throughout the season. Everyone will be required to take part of the latest game-changing rule.
