DANTE MAZZETTI PRESENTS HIS NEW SINGLE “UGLY” 0 247

With a talent for music that first made itself known at the age of three when he started playing the fiddle, Dante Mazzetti’s love for the craft has only gotten stronger as he’s gotten older. He honed his talents, which also include playing the guitar, by performing subway platforms and music clubs in New York and has studied both voice and studio engineering in order to make himself as well rounded an artist as he can.

After releasing two albums in 2002 and 2005 respectively, and taking a break to join the New York Fire Department, this past July saw the release of his EP Hotel Vol. 1, and its follow-up, Hotel Vol. 2 is out in November.

Before then however, Mazzetti is offering fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming collection with the release of his new single “Ugly”, which ThisIsTheLatest are delighted to premiere.

Keeping up with the themes and story-telling that made up Hotel Vol. 1, Hotel Vol. 2 and therefore new single “Ugly” both play their part in continuing the story of the troubled man finding and exploring a new life and experiencing new challenges; something that each and every one of us can relate to.

Asked about the creative process behind his new single, Mazzetti says:

“When writing “Ugly” I took inspiration for all sorts of music. You’ll hear Latin and German expressionist influences as well as American folk music influence.”
