As news spread that Brooke Burke-Charvet was ousted as Tom Bergeron’s co-host on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” fans anxiously awaited to find out who would take her place. It has been confirmed that Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews will be stepping into Burke-Charvet’s co-hosting shoes.
Burke-Charvet has co-hosted the show for seven seasons and broke the news of her firing via Twitter on Friday. She tweeted the following: “weird day….Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS….ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn’t even read my name. I won’t be returning to the show this season.”
Like Burke-Charvet, Erin Andrew previously competed on the show. The sports reporter was partnered with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy during season 10 in 2010. The pair made it to the finale, coming in at third.
The season 18 cast will be revealed revealed on March 4 on Good Morning America.
