INSIDE SOAP AWARDS 2019: THE SHORTLIST REVEALED 0 80

The shortlist for the Inside Soap Awards 2019 celebrates your favourite stars from HollyoaksEastEndersEmmerdaleCoronation Street and more.

The annual soap gala unveiled its ‘final four’ in categories ranging from Best Actor and Actress to Best Partnership and Best Shock Twist on Tuesday (October 1), ahead of the ceremony next Monday (October 7).

In the Best Actor category, EastEnders‘ Danny Dyer will battle it out with Jack P. Shepherd (Corrie), Jeff Hordley (Emmerdale) and Adam Woodward (Hollyoaks) for the prestigious gong.

Best Actress for 2019 will be pitting Lucy Pargeter (Emmerdale), Alison King (Corrie), Stephanie Davis (Hollyoaks) and Gillian Wright (EastEnders) in competition for the award.

The big four will be going be head-to-head as HollyoaksEmmerdaleCoronation Street and EastEnders all face off for the Best Soap prize at the end of the night.

WILL BAYLEY LEAVES STRICTLY AFTER INJURY 0 45

Sadly, due to the injury sustained last week, Will Bayley is leaving Strictly Come Dancing.

Executive Producer Sarah James said: “We are so sad that Will is unable to continue on the show. He is an incredible and talented person who has brought us some unforgettable moments this series – in particular his powerful and moving Couple’s Choice routine. He will be greatly missed and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

Will Bayley said: “I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received. I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me and giving me the confidence to believe in myself. The things we achieved, from our Couple’s Choice dance through to the lifts in our Salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life.”

Janette Manrara said: “Absolutely devastated that Will and I will not be able to continue dancing. We made some incredible memories that I will never forget, and I am pleased to have shared them with such an inspirational person, whom I can now call a friend for life.”

Will and Janette will be on It Takes Two tonight from 6.30pm on BBC Two.

MTV EMAs ADDS DUA LIPA, NCT 127 & MORE TO PERFORMER LINE UP 0 198

You know her, you love her, and she won Best Pop at the 2018 MTV EMA! Pop superstar Dua Lipa will be joining the 2019 main show performer lineup along with some new faces to the MTV EMA: Seoul-based global pop powerhouse NCT 127.

But wait, there’s more!

Mexican pop superstar Sofia Reyes will also be returning to the MTV EMA, this time joined by Puerto Rican hitmaker Jhay Cortez and Brazilian drag queen, singer, and songwriter and 2019 Best Brasilian Act nominee Pabllo Vittar. These three artists will kick off the biggest global music celebration of the year with pre-show performances on the EMA red carpet!

On top of hearing from these amazing artists, actors Terry Crews and Paz Vega and supermodels Joan Smalls, Doutzen Kroes, Georgina Rodriguez and Leomie Anderson will make some very special appearances throughout show!

Dua Lipa and NCT 127 join previously announced performers Niall Horan, Halsey, Rosalía, EMA show host Becky G, Akon, Ava Max and Mabel. Iconic rock act Green Day, The Struts and León Benavente will also perform from Seville’s spectacular Plaza de España as a part of “MTV World Stage Seville.”
