With support already behind him from the likes of BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing, who have given him lots of airplay, Newcastle born Jack Golightly, AKA Jango Flash, has, in the last 12 months, certainly been making a name for himself thanks to his unique ‘kamikaze pop‘ sound.
His new release “Deeper Thrill” is easily his strongest and best to date, and is accompanied by a psychologically charged concept video, which ThisIsTheLatest are delighted to premiere.
Asked about the meaning and story behind the song, Jango says:
“It’s as much of a commentary on brainwashed millennial screen huggers as it is a comical story of human insanity. The majority of young people online today feel this incessant need to be socially relevant, and sometimes because of this they end up sacrificing a piece of themselves in the process. From a psychology standpoint, it’s interesting because they are all emulating one another for acceptance.”
