Mac Miller has been found dead at the age of 26.
The rapper, who dated Ariana Grande for around two years, was found in his home in the San Fernando Valley at around noon on Friday (September 7) and was pronounced dead at the scene, TMZ reports.
Having started out as a professional ballet dancer, Israeli born artist Kfir has danced and performed on stages all over the world in some of the biggest and best known productions, including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom Of The Opera.
He began creating and sharing his own music back in 2013 with the release of his debut single “Fake It Till U Make It” and over the years he’s earned himself a considerable number of views and streams on YouTube and several music platforms.
After taking a break from music to star in the drama Flesh & Bone, he returned in 2015, and has spent the past few years honing his craft and continuing to fans develop and showcase his talents. Now, with a new EP, One Time With You, due out next year, Kfir has dropped his latest single “Ocean Breeze”, which offers just a small taste of what fans can expect from the collection, and ThisIsTheLatest are delighted to host its premiere.
Asked about the creative process behind and to the song, KFIR says:
“ I wrote “Ocean Breeze” when I was on my winter vacation in Miami. I was sitting on Collins ave under the palm trees and enjoying the sunshine while listening to some beats I was sent. I came across one of them and immediately I started humming this melody which later became the chorus. I called my co-writer Javier Cardellino, who is based in Uruguay, and 20 minutes later we had created the melody ideas for the verse, pre-choruses, and bridge. I came up with the lyrics an hour later.
I was so amazed about how swiftly the process was, I was trying to capture the feeling of me sitting under those palm trees and the sun. Not a bit of me wanted to go back to the cold, and I was trying to convey this throughout the song. The track is about wanting the moment to last forever, it’s about being on vacation and meeting someone unexpected and falling in love and carried away not wanting to go back to reality. “
