Directed and co-written by Oscar-winning filmmaker, Darren Aronofsky, the UK Premiere of Noah took place on Monday evening at London’s Odeon Leicester Square.
Playing the titular role in the Biblical biopic, Russell Crowe was joined by his other co-stars Ray Winstone, who was accompanied with his family, plays villain Tubal-Cain who tries to stop Noah from building the Ark; Emma Watson, 23, who plays daughter-in-law Ila, looked bloody stunning and simply breath-taking at the UK premiere, she wore a body-skimming white dress with a very suggestive thigh split. She wore Ralph Lauren, this silk hand-pleated dress was one-of-a-kind which was made specifically for Emma; Jennifer Connelly, 43, made sure she wasn’t outshone at the London Premiere, for she wore a high-necked gothic Alexander MacQueen gown to Leicester Square. The gown had a shimmering floral bodice which had a lacy cut-out design and a frayed organza full-bodiced black skirt; Douglas Booth, 22, who plays one of Noah’s sons, Shem, is Ila’s husband, looked dapper as he wore a three-piece Prince of Wales check, while Logan Lerman, 22, who plays Noah’s other son, Ham, wore a little navy number looking all-American.
Emma Watson, 23, said: “Physically we were filming when it was freezing cold and were soaking wet all the time,” Douglas Booth, 22, said there was thousands of litres being poured on the cast every minute.
The film was released on Friday in the US and has already won rave reviews and after weathering a torrent of controversy.
Many celebs were present at this Biblical premiere: Claudia Winkleman, 42-years-old Strictly Come Dancing co-host; Kimberley Garner, 24-year-old, former Made In Chelsea, wore a Grecian-inspired white dress that showed off her figure; the other celebrities that attended were Sinitta, Hugh Jackman, Lydia Bright, Tanya Burr, Jared Harris, Melinda Messenger and Cleo Rocos.
