So the first ever digital Real Housewives of Atlanta has aired its first episode, and the season wrap up sure was full of drama, shade and stunning ladies in white and people coming for NeNe whom stormed off at one point.
The ladies of Atlanta were joined by host Andy Cohen all from their plush pads across Atlanta and Cynthia Bailey dialling in from Los Angeles.
The ladies are all show in their respected boxes from what the world has come to get used to during the lockdown/quarantine thanks to the digital technology Zoom. The ladies kicked things off with a short recap on how the ladies are doing during the quarantine and everyone is doing well.
Then the recaps and talk points come to the front with the lovely ladies NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and Eva Marcille. The shade soon starts to flow with the receipts from Porsha and Kenya being discussed about an apparent plan for Kenya coming for ‘Cynthia’s ass’ and Kenya dropping some tea on Porsha and NeNe’s friendship.
NeNe or NeyNe did storm off at some point as the majority of the ladies were coming for her, but she didn’t let up herself as she seemed to have Kenya’s marriage and daughter Brooklyn in her crosshairs and her loathing for Eva coming for her brand and legacy from being on America’s Next Top Model.
This wasn’t to stop Kenya showing her own receipts and the Marriage licence between Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly something NeNe has questioned for a while stating that the she thought they were never married int the first place. NeNe also came for the parentage of Kenya’s daughter saying they used an egg donor to help baby Brooklyn be born, something Kenya followed up with thick shade stating that they didn’t need to question the parentage of NeNe’s kids as they definitely look like her.
This started a touchy point between Porsha and Eva having a go at each other about Eva’s comments about Porsha having baby P.J by caesarean, the ladies went digital toe to toe with each other.
The Reunion with it being in its digital form allows host Andy Cohen to mute the ladies when they are talking over each other or not allowing Andy to get to certain talking points in the reunion, this was used only once that i could notice, when NeNe and Kenya were going off at each other.
Check the ladies out on episode two of the Reunion next week on hayu or your local broadcasters.
In terms of drama and shade, the reunion was good, but it does miss the tension of the usual grouped reunions of past when you think one of the ladies is going to hop off the couch and have a pop at one of the ladies.
