During the third episode of Star Crossed there was a lot of flesh on display. Let’s count them shall we:
- Teri and Roman – Teri made Roman dream a very sexy dream with her magical Atrian herbs. A little too sexy for The CW (It’s not that sexy really – don’t they have The Vampire Diaries for that?) This also gives us insight into the fact that Roman and Teri share some kind of relationship, plus this really pissed him off for he’s obviously and clearly infatuated with Emery.
- Julia – Julia’s mysterious blue veins from last episode are growing and glowing from the quick Atrian blood transfusion performed by Roman in the pilot. This episode, Julia had taken off her shirt to show Roman how freaky-looking and how fast it’s growing as well. Luckily, Roman asks Uncle Castor about it who says that there’s an herb that Teri’s tribe can only provide.
- Drake has decided to pledge himself to the Trags (what is he playing at?), he and Beaumont decided to do some shirtless training. Still a bit baffled as to why Drake joined the Trags in the first place.
p> Meanwhile, in this episode we are told a lot about the day the Atrians arrived on Earth, and how many people may have been lost in the initial struggle. Sophia is also very interested in the humans and wants to know more for she is willing to share her experiences with Emery and Grayson who are documenting footage for a gathering at the Atrian ship.
Teri’s mum, who is introduced this episode, is the leader of the Trags and is one badass character, terrifying but beautiful and cunning. When Teri helps out Roman, she’s forced to join the Trags as well. Also, Teri’s mum kind of kills Beaumont for supposedly conspiring against her with Roman’s uncle, Castor.
Important Atrian Lore: Elijida is the place in the bayou where legend has it that other Atrians have supposedly escaped. The Wall of the Missing is kind of heart warming for it’s a place in the Sector where Atrians draw portraits of their missing loved ones – apparently Drake’s mother is up here.
Now, back to Grayson. We all know that his brother was killed, and this no doubt the main reason for his and his parents’ joining the Red Hawks, but during a gathering at the Arrival Day site with the Atrian ship looming in the background, the video that Emery and Grayson put together was sabotaged at the hands of Grayson’s parents. Emery overhears this and is upset with Grayson. This potential love connection between these two already established alongside the obvious end-game, star crossed love of Emery and Roman, but surely there is a redemption in the stars for Grayson.
The revelation that Gloria the administrator of the whole Atrian Seven business has a young Atrian son (half or Pure Atrian, we aren’t sure) Either way how can they leave us Star Crossers hanging like that?
What did you think about the episode? What is your take on Gloria – human lover of an Atrian? Or a secret Atrian in hiding
The next Star Crossed episode – And Left No Friendly Drop – airs next week Monday
