‘The Divine Move’ begins with Chris Argent telling Scott what to say to the authorities after Allison’s death. Stiles is at Kira’s house where her parents tells them about how to make a Divine Move something truly inspired that will turn the tide against the nogitsune.
Meanwhile, Isaac and Chris share a moment of mourning with a manly hug, while the oni shows up and attacks the officers at the sheriff’s department.
The twins are ready to run and take Lydia and Danny with them, but Derek convinces them to stay and fight with Scott. Lydia and Scott visit Deaton who tells them to trap the nogitsune using the Nemeton, they realise they must use the container that held Talia Hale’s claws to trap the nogitsune. While, Void Stiles arrives at the hospital and wrecks havoc, looking for Melissa McCall. She is attacked by the oni, but Agent McCall is there to help her.
Lydia has a rushing feeling, like they’re running out of time, that’s when Stiles shows up, even weaker than before.
Isaac realises they need to check the silver arrows that Allison made and had used against the oni, for that is one thing that can stop the oni. Stiles, Scott, Kira and Lydia go to the high school where they end up in a garden.
Derek, along with Aiden and Ethan fight with Void Stiles and the oni. The Bandaged Man shows up in the garden with four more oni, he says that by the end of their fight, he will make sure Stiles either kill himself or have Scott do it for him.
Chris shows up and starts taking down the oni that attacked Derek, Ethan and Aiden. Meanwhile, Stiles realises that the garden is an illusion, when they escape it, they come face to face with Void Stiles, but before he could do anything, Stiles says that he can’t be a fox and a wolf – and that’s when Scott bites Void Stiles and turns him into a werewolf while Kira stabs him through with her katana.
Everyone heals from their wounds at the hospital, the sheriff’s department and Deaton’s vet surgery. The firefly escapes from its host but is captured by Isaac using the triskele box. There is only one more casualty after everything settles down, and that’s Aiden, who worries that Lydia won’t believe he was a good guy not realising that Lydia was watching.
As Scott teaches Malia how to control her powers with Stiles present, Ethan sits down to break up with Danny, but he beats him to it, for Danny knew that Ethan was a werewolf all along – but how long has he known? How much does he know? We also see Isaac and Chris leaving to go to France for a period of time.
In the final moments of the show, we see Derek telling Stiles about something that happened to him, but it’s actually a dream and what he says is actually taking place. We find out that Kate Argent hadn’t died, but instead she is … something kind of were creature, but what is she exactly?
