‘Moon Over Bourbon Street’ begins with Klaus painting as Genevieve arrives. We see that it has been a month since the last episode and things have changed. We see each of the supernatural factions using their considerable talents against each other. We see Jackson pouring the curse’s antidote into a pot and the clan waits with brilliant results, they stay human and can change at will.
Elijah is fed up of Klaus’ childish attitude, so he takes it upon himself to take over governing and calls a meeting amongst the leaders of the supernatural factions except for the werewolves.
Davina gets picked on by the other Harvest Girls. The blonde werewolf tells Hayley about the meeting, which angers Hayley. The meeting isn’t going too well, Elijah halts the madness just as Hayley walks in, she demands that the werewolves have a seat at the table. Elijah misses Hayley and asks for her to move back at the compound, which she dismisses.
Davina meets up with Josh and they talk. Marcel is listening on a rooftop nearby and he asks Thierry to round up the vampires that walked out on Klaus. Kieran is slowly losing his mind and attacks Cami who hits him with a lamp and escapes.
Elijah meets a human named Francesca, who wants to take Father Kieran’s spot on the table. Klaus thinks that peace starts with the werewolves and urges Elijah to think outside the box and urges him to have a party to show the supernaturals that there is fun to be had in peace.
Josh meets Marcel who tells Josh that Davina has to start doing magic. She needs to defend herself. Genevieve is threatened by Cami’s presence in Klaus’ life. Klaus wants to turn Jackson into a hybrid which he refuses as once, they talk about how Klaus wants the werewolves to rule New Orleans for their strength comes from family unity. Klaus shows off a ring that holds similar power to that of a daylight ring, for the moonlight ring allows a werewolf to avoid having to change every full moon meaning no more broken bones, no more pain which perks Jackson’s interest and he agrees.
Cami drinks while Marcel tells her that he found a witch to do a boundary spell on the attic to hold Kieran. Back at the party, Diego (vampire) and Oliver (blonde werewolf) gets into a fight where Elijah and Jackson break up the fight and Hayley challenges Elijah to kill Oliver and Jackson to kill Diego. Hayley addresses the room at large about not find peace they might as well kill each other now.
Josh and Davina talk again about who she can trust and who is on her side. Davina gives a spell a try and revives the wilted rose that Josh handed her.
Cami and Marcel are inebriated which leads them to a scandalous hook-up for them while Genevieve watches through a dreamcatcher that Marcel destroys later.
Elijah’s peace is forged, he urges Klaus to sign which he does, but only as he reminds Elijah that he will not succeed. Jackson tells Oliver about the moonrings that will allow them to harness their werewolf powers at all times making their bites always lethal to vampires turning them into the superior species.
