US Celebrity Gossip Site TMZ have revealed that the E! show has been renewed for another three seasons, despite falling ratings.
What’s more, insiders tell the website that the deal is worth more to the first family of reality TV than their lucrative $40million handshake in 2012, which was the biggest haul in reality TV to date.
TMZ write: ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians is currently shooting Season ten and the new deal will take the show into Season eleven and beyond. As one production source put it, “It is a HUGE show.”‘
However, the eighth season premiere in January attracted half a million fewer viewers than weekly episodes during peak seasons of the show.
Numbers have dwindled since then, with recent shows averaging around 2.4million.
